If you are new to taekwon-do then we have just the thing for you! We offer 5 week introductory courses throughout the year in partnership with our friends at ANU Sport.
The course introduces you to taekwon-do by teaching basic techniques (punches, kicks and blocks), mitt and bag work, patterns, partner training, sparring and practical self-defence. It is the perfect opportunity for you to try out taekwon-do without locking yourself in to any membership fees.
Our next introductory course starts on Thursday, 1 March 2018. It will run over the following five Thursdays from 6-7pm, finishing on Thursday, 29 March 2018.
Please arrive at 5:45pm for the first class so that we can take care of admin.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any previous martial arts experience?
Absolutely not. The introductory course is designed for students with little to no martial arts experience. Throughout the course you will learn the basics of taekwon-do in a friendly, non-competitive environment. By the end of the course you will have learnt basic techniques, sparring and practical self-defence.
Having said that, our regular classes are mixed ability and run at the same time as the introductory course, so even while you are participating in the introductory course you will have the benefit of watching and learning from more experienced students, whilst still progressing with students of your own level.
What do I need to bring? Do I need a uniform?
When you come to your first training session wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move around in, bring some water and get ready to unleash your inner warrior! We train in bare feet so there is no need to worry about shoes.
If I enjoy the introductory course can I continue training with the Club?
Once you have completed the introductory course you may become a full member and join our regular classes. Our regular training sessions are 6-8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays so there is an opportunity to train more frequently and progress to higher levels. Within a week of completing the introductory course you can sign up, get your first uniform and start your official journey to Black Belt.
